I got this in an email from Democrats.com:
Kucinich Introduces 35 Articles of Impeachment Against George W. Bush!
On Monday, Rep. Dennis Kucinich made history on the floor of the House by reading 35 Articles of Impeachment against President George W. Bush.
At last!!!!!
We've waited years to find one Member of Congress brave enough to stand up for our Constitution, for which generations of Americans have fought and died. We are thrilled and honored that Dennis Kucinich has chosen to be that one genuine patriot.
We congratulate him on his historic leadership, and pledge to do everything in our power to persuade the House to adopt all 35 Articles and put George W. Bush on trial before the Senate of the United States, exactly as the Founding Fathers wanted.
Of course, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA-8), Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (MD-5), and Democratic Caucus Chair Rahm Emanuel (IL-5) all remain adamantly opposed to impeachment - despite the overwhelming evidence of High Crimes, including the "Phase II" report by the Senate Intellligence Committee and Scott McClellan's new book.
And when Rep. Robert Wexler (FL-19) called for Judiciary Committee hearings on Kucinich's Articles of Impeachment against Vice President Cheney in January, only 17 Democrats joined them: Neil Abercrombie (HI-1), Tammy Baldwin (WI-2), Michael Capuano (MA-8), Yvette Clarke (NY-11), Lacy Clay (MO-1), Steve Cohen (TN-9), Peter DeFazio (OR-4), Keith Ellison (MN-5), Sam Farr (CA-17), Raúl Grijalva (AZ-7), Luis Gutierrez (IL-4), Barbara Lee (CA-9), Gwen Moore (WI-4), Jim Moran (VA-8), Mike Thompson (CA-1), Ed Towns (NY-10), and Lynn Woolsey (CA-6).
So Kucinich's heroic efforts will be in vain unless we inundate Congress with emails and calls (202-224-3121) showing our full support for Rep. Kucinich's 35 Articles of Impeachment:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your constant support throughout this long and historic struggle.

Let's do our part people. Let us not allow Congress to put the brakes on this.
Much props to Dennis Kucinich for being a fine American.

thanks for this post. i got the e-mail as well.
Kucinich was shut out of his run for potus. it seems that if you have an interest in the well being of americans you are somehow "unelectable". if you don't take money from the corporate donors---forget about it. this should really concern americans more than it seems to at this point in history. before it is all said and done i think more will begin to pay attention.
blessings sis,

I've been rooting for Kucinich since he spoke at an Ani Difranco show. I also agree with the comment above,he was deemed "unelectable" in the minds of alot of Americans not only for those reasons but because, i think, he was unable to create a public figure persona, and thats what this election has been about. Hillary, the white raging "feminist", Obama, the cool, calm black guy who listens to Jay-Z, McCain, the ancient white guy with good ol' fashion morals and values. Kucinich was too much of a real person for America.
Also, you mentioned something about the exclusivity of feminism on my page, maybe my last post will help? http://shesontherag.blogspot.com
focusedpurpose and Erica,
You guys are on point.
I was originally looking at Kucinich, Edwards, and Obama. Then the former two dropped out of the race so I rolled with Obama. I was first introduced to Kucinich during the '04 election and I've been a fan ever since. Call me a sucker for honesty ;-)
I don't know what it will take for Americans to elect someone that they believe in. I think Bill Maher said something along the lines of "Americans love being lied to." We think that we're powerless and political lies don't come cheap. I wish we'd get it together.
I'll admit that I'm less familiar with Kucinich than with the Clinton/Obama/Edwards, et al so i can't comment on his politics, but I wonder what exactly are the ramifications of impeaching Bush in the last 9 months of his term?
I mean it's a long time coming and I appreciate his efforts and hope something comes out of it, but isn't it sort of too late?
And also, wouldn't that bump up the Dick to POTUS?
Just wondering.
Hey Tayo,
I don't think it's too late to reprimand the Bush administration for its heinous actions. He's a war criminal and an abuser of American civil liberties and many Americans would love to see him impeached.
Also, Cheney's included in the impeachment request so that would leave Pelosi up for POTUS.
What good is an impeachment now? Impeachment doesn't undo the grave wrongs of the Bush administration or bring justice to the millions of people domestically and abroad affected by this. If our government really meant well by us, they would repeal that highly treasonous warrantless wiretapping laws and start acting like the civil servants they are supposed to be...
No offense to Kucinich lovers, but it is WAY too late in the game to talk about impeachments.
